It has been brought to attention by the Editor-in-Chief that the review article entitled “Common superficial fungal infections in the pediatric age group” published in Indian Journal of Paediatric Dermatology,on pages 77-88, Issue 2, Volume 18,[1] hasused a diagram (Diagram 1) from a previous publication of 2002 without any permission or due attribution, in The Hong Kong Practitioner, on pages 72-82, Issue 2, Volume 24.[2] Duplicate publication violates the editorial policy of Indian Journal of Paediatric Dermatology which follows best practice guidelines given by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) and Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) mentioned on the Information for Authors and as codified in the signed statements made by the authors regarding the copyright of their work. This article has been retracted as per request made by the Editor-in-Chief and Editorial Board of the journal.
